Overview
The HDZero Lux Camera by RunCam is a compact, ultra-light digital FPV camera engineered for whoops and micro drones. It features a large 1/2-inch CMOS sensor that captures sharp detail and performs exceptionally well in low-light environments. Instead of a bulky MIPI cable, it uses a single-wire HD composite output—reducing size, weight, and points of failure.
Optimized for a native 4:3 aspect ratio with a wide 94° vertical FOV, the Lux can also be configured for 16:9 operation when paired with HDZero transmitters. Its 2.3 g weight and durable aluminum shell make it ideal for 65–85 mm whoops and other ultralight FPV builds.

Aspect Ratio Switching
The HDZero AIO5 and HDZero ECO VTX do not automatically detect the Lux’s aspect ratio. You must manually configure both the VTX and camera for either 4:3 or 16:9 mode. A step-by-step guide is available here: HDZero Lux Aspect Ratio Setup Video .
