Motors are where a whoop's personality comes from, and BETAFPV's 0702 Brushless Motors (2026) give you two very different ones. They're built around an industry-first 0.10mm stator core. That ultra-thin core cuts magnetic losses and heat, and in BETAFPV's testing it delivers a 0.1–0.2g/W efficiency gain over 0702 motors with the older 0.15mm core. The rotor housing and shaft have also been upgraded to survive harder crashes.
Pick your personality. Both are 1S motors tuned for the Air65 II:
- Champion (36000KV): The race-night motor. It uses dual ball bearings and a high-output magnetic design for maximum power and instant throttle response. It peaks at 27.53W / 7.17A and weighs 1.59g. Choose it when lap times matter.
- Freestyle (25000KV): The smooth operator. It uses brass bushings and a winding tuned for superior low-throttle torque, so it flies fluid, cinematic lines while sipping power (15.01W / 3.86A peak, about 1.5g). Choose it for park, backyard, and indoor flowing.
Each pack includes 4 motors and 12× M1.4×3 screws, enough to do a full rebuild.
- Voltage: 1S (4.2V rated)
- Shaft: Ø1.0mm, 3.4mm long
- Mounting: 3× M1.4 on a Ø6.6mm pattern

Common Questions
Champion or Freestyle: which should I get?
Get the Champion if you race. It has the highest KV and the dual bearings for power and response. Get the Freestyle if you fly for fun and flow. It's smoother at low throttle and easier on your battery.
What props should I use?
BETAFPV recommends the Gemfan 1207 3-blade with the Champion, and the Gemfan 1219S 3-blade with the Freestyle. Both are 1.0mm shaft props that match these motors.
What does it fit?
They're designed for the Air65 II (both the Air65 II and Air65 Champion frames) with the Matrix 1S 5IN1 II flight controller. They use a 3×M1.4 mount on a Ø6.6mm pattern, so check that your frame matches before using them elsewhere.
Do I need to solder them?
No. Each motor has a JST1.25 3-pin connector on 35mm leads, so they plug straight into a matching board. Racers who want to shave weight can cut off the connector and solder the leads directly.
What's the big deal about the 0.10mm stator core?
A thinner core wastes less energy as heat. That means the motor runs cooler and turns more of your battery into thrust, a gain BETAFPV measured at 0.1–0.2g per watt compared with its previous 0.15mm core.
How many motors come in a pack?
Four, plus 12 M1.4×3 screws. That's one full set for a quad.
